We have two 6’x6’ composting bins. When one is full the lid is closed and it cooks for 4- 6 weeks. It has an aeration system and we check it regularly to ensure it is maintaining a minimum of 130 degree for the first 10 days.
Once fully cooked it can be spread on the pasture or packaged up for your garden. We go so far as to send it through a grinder so it is nice and smooth, easily watered in.
